There are many factors influence on feed pellet quality, which mainly comprise elements such as pellet raw materials, conditioning effect, operation and so on. I will briefly introduce raw material’s effect on your pelletizing process.

In general, feed pellet raw materials usually contain water,  starch, protein,  fat and fiber, etc, whatever mentioned above all have different impacts on pelletizing. For our Allance Group, pelletizing equipment includes a whole production line, which is raw material preparing, crushing, drying, pelletizing, cooling and screening and the final packing. Machine for every step is an indispensable part doing it’s level best to save your time and money.

Analyze on Physical Property of animal feed pellets

Here I will briefly expound two primary aspects. One is particle size, the other is volume-weight.

First and foremost, let us learn particle size together. In fact, pelletizing is to turn powder into a small, rounded or spherical body. Particle size, which is also called granularity, always give it in terms of diameter. As well known, conditioning is the core section for the whole pelletizing process. As a rule of thumb, the more adequate crushed, the better conditioning effect. For example, if you would like to suppress particles at 8.0mm diameter, the powder material’diameter should be less than 2.0mm.Meanwhile, particles at 4.0mm, powder diameter not more than 1.5mm.

What is equally essential is volume-weight. Volume-weight has a direct impress on pellet output.

In normal conditions, pellets’ volume-weight is about 750kg per cubic meter, while powders’ is less than 500 kg per cubic meter. That is to say, if you want to create same size pellets, material with larger volume-weight means a higher output and a lower power consumption. Therefore, we can easily put the issue into a significant space. Put it more simply, pellet feed don’t take up more space.

Shallows About Chemical Constitution

When it comes to pellets’ chemical constitution, it always includes starch, protein and oil.

1.Starch.

Different starch shape, different pellet effect. Fresh starch have a coarse appearance, it is resistive to compression die. However, after conditioning, pasted starch exists in form of gelatinous-like , which is easy to get though die hole, so that pelletizing output has a wonderful improvement. And grain starch is refer to temperature, water, compress time and grain variety. To name just a few, adhesion of barley and wheat is better than corn and broomcorn. In general, raw materials for feeding chicken, ducks and pig have high starch. You had better add more water and raise appropriate temperature.

2.Protein.

Protein will change their shapes after heat, which brings a cohesive force. Besides, high quality steam is benefit to pelletize raw materials with high protein effectively. With regards to fishes, shrimps, turtles and crabs, it is often the case.

3.Oil.

What I want to explain here is  you need to added additionally. Although there is a high temperature and huge pressure, oil inherent is not able to be squeezed out. However, oil added have an important influence on pellet output and quality. It is obvious that phenomenon about broken die and roller can not be easily found.
